The Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived on an official visit to the State of Kuwait.

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon was met at Kuwait International Airport by His Highness, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of the State of Kuwait, the  Kuwaiti Crown Prince, His highness, Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, Speaker of the National Assembly of the State of Kuwait Marzouq Ali al-Ghanim, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Amiri Diwan Advisor Mohammad Daifallah Sharar as well as other representatives of the Amiri Diwan and dignitaries of Emir's guard.

Official welcoming ceremony on the occasion of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the State of Kuwait was held in the great hall of the Kuwait International Airport.

After a warm welcome the Emir of the State of Kuwait HH. Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah invited the President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon to the tribune of honor.

On this occasion, a guard of honor was arranged for the distinguished guest in a square decorated with state flags of the two countries.

The chief of the Amiri guard of honor reported to President of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon.

President Emomali Rahmon paid tribute to the flag of the State of Kuwait during the passage of the Guard of Honour.

Official delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan was introduced to His Highness, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of the State of Kuwait and members of the delegation of the State of Kuwait were introduced to President of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon.

It should be recalled that the State of Kuwait was the first Arabic country, to which in 1995 the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon paid an official visit.

The first legal documents have been signed between Tajikistan and Kuwait on encouragement and mutual protection of investments, on cooperation in economy, trade, science and technology, as well as in the field of information and political consultations.

Thus, an official welcoming ceremony of the distinguished guest - President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon came to an end.

Within the framework of his official visit to the State of Kuwait, President of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon will meet with HIs Highness, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of the State of Kuwait, and other officials.

As a result of meetings and negotiations at the highest level the signing of new cooperation documents is expected.
