In the afternoon in the big hall of Kokhi Vahdat of the capital an enlarged session of the Government of the country under the chairmanship of the President of the country, Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon was held, during which the results of activities in the first quarter of current year and further tasks have been considered.

For the first time more than 1300 persons attended an enlarged session of the Government of the country. The members of Government and functionaries of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, leaders of ministries and state committees, departments under the President and the Government, republican organizations and institutions, chairmen of regions, cities and districts, as well as heads of departments and divisions of education, women and family affairs, youth, sport and tourism from the areas and the leadership of a number of private enterprises and companies have been invited for taking part in its work.

During his analytical speech, the Head of State Emomali Rahmon expressed satisfaction over the results of socio-economic development of the country within the reporting period as a whole, as well as gave concrete tasks and instructions to republican and regional functionaries for removal of a number of existing shortcomings.

The officials were given specific instructions and assignments regarding the fulfillment of further plan of income to the state budget, timely payment of salaries and pensions, including with consideration of its current year increase, regulation of order of award of pensions, particularly pensions for disabled, construction of new industrial enterprises, creation of new jobs, acceleration of spring sowing, preparations for repeated sowing of lands and excessive harvesting, as well as reserving food, fuels and lubricants, and fodder for future winter from now on.
