Today, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon received the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Belgium Didier Reinders and the Defense Minister of this country Pieter De Crime.
The issues of friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries have been reviewed at the meeting.
Much attention has been focused to three aspects of cooperation – integration for revival of stability in Afghanistan, development of cooperation in Central Asia and enhancement of bilateral ties between Tajikistan and Belgium.
“We consider Belgium as one of our most important partners in the European Union”, - stated the Head of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium Didier Reinders called the development of relations with Tajikistan as very important and invited on behalf of the Government of his country the Head of our state Emomali Rahmon to pay an official visit to Belgium.
Organization and enhancement of a broad economic and trade cooperation and investment with consideration of market of Central Asia has been called as perspective and mutually beneficial.
