President Emomali Rahmon continues to receive congratulations on his re-election

Leaders of foreign states and governments, international organizations, and foreign public figures are continuing to send messages of congratulations to President Emomali Rahmon on his re-election.

The leaders congratulate Emomali Rahmon on this convincing victory in the presidential election and wish him further success in this demanding post.

The congratulatory message of the UN Secretary-General António Guterres says:

Excellency,

I wish to extend my sincere congratulations on the occasion of your upcoming inauguration as President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

I look forward to continuing to work with you, including through the United Nations Resident Coordinator and the United Nations Country Team in Tajikistan, as well as the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, for the benefit of the peoples of Tajikistan.

The United Nations counts on the continued commitment and support of Tajikistan to the values and principles of the United Nations, including in the areas of peace and security, sustainable development and human rights.

The world is facing unprecedented challenges in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic. While such challenges demand immediate attention, others cannot be overlooked.
