Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received at the Palace of the Nation the personnel appointed to the governing and commanding positions of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security.

By the decrees of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Border Troops, the Deputy Commanders of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan and other units of this structure were appointed from among experienced and faithful officers, graduates of two higher military institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan and abroad with good commanding and organizational skills.

The personnel changes also included the chiefs of border detachments of Khatlon Province, GBAO, Sughd Province and other structural units of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security, with appointments affecting young and experienced officers.

The President of the country, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, mentioned the constant attention and concern of the Government of the Republic to this military unit and expressed that in recent years the situation of supply of Border Troops with the necessary supplies has improved and the conditions of living and conducting the service are decent and meet the requirements.

The state of material and technical support of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security is improving day by day, based on the requirements of the military statutes, and until the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Border Troops, which is expected next year, the construction of modern facilities, checkpoints, border detachments and other necessary infrastructure in the field should be completed, - stated the Leader of the Nation.

Taking into account the complex and unpredictable situation of the region and the world, the head of state stressed that the protection of the state border should be ensured according to the system and documents providing the legal basis, and any violation of the border should be eliminated.

By analyzing and considering the incidents that happened on the border, including drug trafficking, weapons, organized crime, illegal crossing of the border, illegal relations, smuggling of goods and products, and preventing the actions of terrorists and transnational organized criminal groups, he gave specific instructions to the leadership of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security.

"Being a border guard is an honorable and sacred task, the peace and security of the state, integrity and its further development depend on the honest and loyal service of you, brave officers and soldiers of the Motherland," said the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan.
