On June 28, a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held under the chairmanship of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Head of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon.

At the meeting of the Government of the country, the report of the Chairman of the Environmental Protection Committee, Bahodur Sheralizoda, was first heard about the State Program for Greening of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2040.

It was emphasized that this program developed in order to implement activities in the direction of planting trees and shrubs in the cities and districts of the country is aimed at reducing greenhouse gases, restoring the ecological state of the atmosphere, maintaining a stable natural balance, adapting to the processes of climate change, etc.

After the discussion of the issue, the state program was approved and the Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon instructed relevant ministries and agencies, executive bodies of state power of provinces, cities and districts to take specific measures for its effective implementation. In particular, it was emphasized that the number of nurseries should be increased and their efficiency should be improved.

In the continuation of the meeting the report of the responsible persons was heard concerning the Work plan of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in the second half of 2024 and the Report on the available lands, their distribution by groups, types and land users of the country as of January 1, 2024.

Drafts of a number of laws of the Republic of Tajikistan, including the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the Agency of State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan" and the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the prevention of domestic violence" were discussed and submitted for consideration to the Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Also, issues related to the Development Strategy of the State Institution "International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan" for the period up to 2040 and the establishment of international institutes of the State Institution "International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan" in Khatlon and Sughd provinces were reviewed.

At the end of the meeting, the President of the country, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, gave specific instructions to the members of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to implement the issues on the agenda of the next meeting.
Other instructions were given on the organized collection of grain crops, speeding up replanting in irrigable lands, timely and safe collection of fruits and vegetables and their export, preparation for the upcoming autumn and winter, construction and repair of educational institutions, and comprehensive preparation for the new school year, as well as expansion of the development works for the worthy celebration of the 35th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
