On the second day of his official visit to Brussels, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen.
At the beginning the Head of Tajik state Emomali Rahmon expressed satisfaction with practical parnership with this organization in the framework of Partnership for Peace Programme and named the implementation of Individual Partnership Cooperation Programme between Tajikistan and NATO as an effective means of strengthening relations between the two sides.
Anders Fogh Rasmussen highly appreciated the role of Tajikistan in practical assistance to ISAF in Afghanistan and active facilitation of socio-economic revival of this country and named our country in this process as "a stable and reliable partner of NATO".
Anders Fogh Rasmussen also stated that "NATO will widely use today and after 2014 Tajikistan's opportunities in the path to assistance in socio-economic revival of Afghanistan and training of military personnel and Afghan police".
