Today, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon visited Khuroson district of Khatlon region and got familiarized with the work of a number of exemplary winegrowing farms.
The visit of head of state Emomali Rahmon began from the village community Dahanaki of Khuroson district. As it was informed, since 2010 the erection of new orchards and vineyards and rehabilitation of old ones was commenced in Fakhrobod site of this district at the initiative of President Emomali Rahmon. So far, new orchards and vineyards have been erected in an area of one and half thousand ha in Fakhrobod site and round the other villages of village community Dahanaki of Khuroson district. As it emerged, all new orchards and vineyards grow and flourish well and a part of them have already yielded in the second and third years of growing. In another two-three years most of these orchards and vineyards will be completely fruitful and will favor not only the abundance of fruits and vegetables in Tajikistan, but also will lead to an increase of export potential of the country.
As it was discovered, almost one and half thousand people have been provided with jobs and good salaries in these orchards and vineyards. The labor collective of these farms are joyful and grateful for revival of orchards and vineyards of Fakhrobod site, as old gardens have been unfertile for a long time.
As it was mentioned, mainly fertile and exported sorts of fruit trees have been planted here according to the instructions of head of state Emomali Rahmon. The Tajik President Emomali Rahmon emphasized that the area of gardens with black plum and other exportable fruits, which are in good demand in the global markets, should be expanded.
As it turned out, various delicious sorts of plum, cherry, apricot, peach, cherry-plum, almond, fig, nut, pomegranate, pistachio, quince, apple and pear are grown in these favorable orchards.
