In Bishkek city President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon also met with the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Jantoro Satybaldyev.

Different aspects of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries in the light of newly signed documents and reached arrangements have been reviewed during this meeting.

It was noted with satisfaction that the volume of goods turnover between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan rose from 37 million USD in 2011 to 80 million USD in 2012 and this indicator already exceeded 35,5 million USD in three months of the current year.

Both sides highlighted that the works on construction of regional railway and automobile roads and CASA-1000 power transmission line through the territories of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan should be accelerated in order to strengthen their transit potential.
