This morning in Arbob Palace of Khujand city President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a working meeting with leaders and activists of districts and cities of Sughd region.

At the meeting head of state reviewed the results of socio-economic and cultural development of Sughd region in the recent years and specified tasks and objectives for the years to come.

During the analysis of economic figures, it was noted that the GDP of region in 2012 was equal to 8,7 billion somoni. This indicator is 4 times more compared to that of 2006. The volume of local budget of the region increased from 199 million somoni of 2007 to 1 billion 100 million somoni in 2012, that is for over 5,5 times more in comparison.
