This morning in Beijing, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with Prime Minister of the State Council of China Li Keqiang.

The meeting discussed issues of strengthening and expanding trade and investment cooperation, including in the framework of the newly signed documents.

It was stressed that Tajikistan supports China's initiative on the organization of economic belt of the Great Silk Road.

The sides expressed confidence that through trade and economic cooperation and the implementation of major fundamental projects supported by China, transit opportunities of Tajikistan along the route of the Great Silk Road will increase several times.

A constructive conversation was also held on other relevant issues.
