Today in Ufa, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation Rustam Khamitov.
Rustam Khamitov once again welcomed the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, and expressed interest in the development of direct cooperation with Tajikistan and its regions.
Emomali Rahmon expressed gratitude to the Head of Bashkortostan in connection with the ongoing support of activities of the Consulate General of Tajikistan in Ufa, and special attention to the problems of our citizens in this republic of Russia.
It was noted that Bashkortostan was one of the first subjects of the Russian Federation, which had more direct cooperation with Tajikistan in 90s of last century.
Last year's visit of the Head of Bashkortostan in Tajikistan and the establishment of a working group laid the foundation for the two sides to expand cooperation.
Promising fields have been named the creation and development of cooperation in energy, mining, light industry and food industry, agriculture and processing of raw materials.
President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation Rustam Khamitov also opened an exhibition of works by famous artists and painters of Tajikistan, and after the pleasant impression agreed on the establishment and development of mutually beneficial cultural cooperation.
The exhibition featured paintings of collected paintings of Russian collector Julia Verbitskaya, including paintings of well-known Tajik artists, such as Zuhur Habibullaev, Murivat Beknazarov, Akmal Mirshakar, Sabzali Sharipov and others.
