Meeting with representatives of active women of the country

Today, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon met with representatives of active women of Tajikistan on the occasion of Mother’s Day.

Women and girls of different professions from state and social structures, scientists, teachers, doctors, students, famous writers and other popular personalities, which made outstanding social contributions over the years of Tajikistan’s independence, were in attendance at the meeting.

President Emomali Rahmon congratulated the audience and in their person all mothers, women and girls on Mother’s Day and wished them happiness, health, peace, and wellbeing.

It was noted with satisfaction that more than 45% of employed population of the country consists of women and girls, and their general amount is more than one million people.

It was also informed with satisfaction that over 15 recent years due to presidential quotas nearly 8 thousand young ladies, first of all, from remote mountainous areas, have acquired secondary and higher education and now possess professional skills and more than 3 thousand are studying currently. According to Emomali Rahmon, 45 thousand of 150 thousand current students are girls.
