The sides discussed issues related to the development and expansion of friendly relations and good neighborly relations of Tajikistan and Afghanistan.

During the meeting, a constructive exchange of views took place on various issues related to the development of relations between the two neighboring states and peoples who have a common culture, around the current situation and prospects of Afghanistan, its impact on the region, as well as other regional and international issues.

The need was stressed for an active use of all available resources for the preservation of peace and stability in the region, promotion of a culture of tolerance, and to prevent such negative phenomena of society as terrorism, extremism and drug trafficking.
