President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a message of condolences to Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, which reads in particular:

"Your Excellency,

We were deeply sorrowful and filled with hatred after hearing the news of the tragic death of dozens of innocent people, including women, children and seriously injured hundreds of others as a result of a terrible explosion in the city of Lahore, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

We strongly condemn this brutal act of impure forces, emphasize our solidarity with regional and international efforts to strengthen the merciless struggle against terrorism and extremism.

I express deep condolences to the friendly people of Pakistan and to the relatives of those who lost their lives and wish a speedy recovery to the injured."
