The joint session of the Majlisi milli and Majlisi namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli (both chambers of the Parliament) of the Republic of Tajikistan took place in Kokhi Somon, governmental residence, today.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon delivered his annual Address at the fourth joint session of the Majlisi milli and Majlisi namoyandagon of Majlisi Oli (fifth convocation).

The members of the Majlisi milli and deputies of the Majlisi namoyandagon of Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Prime Minister, the members of the Government, persons in charge of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, heads of ministries, state committees and departments under the President and Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, central judiciary and other law enforcement agencies, the Academy of Sciences, higher educational institutions, the chairmen of provinces, cities and districts, heads of centers for implementation of investment projects, the members of the Public Council, as well as Movement of National Unity and Revival of Tajikistan, representatives of public associations, political parties and members of the creative teams, heads of enterprises and institutions, banks, and large and active private companies, as well as the heads of the diplomatic corps accredited in Tajikistan, the media and initiative youth attended the address meeting.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon in his annual Address to the Majlisi Oli identified the main directions of domestic and foreign policy for the coming period, and gave specific instructions on effective foreign policy implementation and ensuring the development of economy, industry, energy, transport and communications, security, law and public order, health, culture, science, education, social protection, youth, sports, and tourism.
