On July 16, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, opened a non-state medical college in Khovaling district of Khatlon Province.

The medical college in the center of the district was built by domestic entrepreneurs Ismoil Sadirov and Abdullo Hasanov in honor of the 35th anniversary of State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. The total area of the facility is 0.50 ha.

The college building consists of three floors and 16 classrooms, a library, two lecture halls, a conference hall, teachers' offices and other ancillary facilities. The computer class of the college is equipped with 20 computers and the necessary modern equipment.

The college is designed to enroll 330 students in two shifts. With the opening of a non-state medical college in the Khovaling district, 40 people were provided with permanent jobs and good wages, including 28 people with higher medical education and 12 people with higher pedagogical education. The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that to date, 150 applicants from Khovaling and other regions have been registered in this new educational institution.

The college offers education in 4 specialties such as nursing, midwifery, pharmacy and dentistry. The building of the Medical College was built in a modern style and in compliance with the requirements of national architecture, which adds beauty to the center of the Khovaling district. Next to the main building of the Medical College, the construction of a hostel on an area of 300 square meters is in full swing.

According to the project, the dormitory building will consist of three floors and is intended for 110 students. At present, the construction of the foundation of the building has been completed, local builders are engaged in brickwork on the floors. According to the information, the hostel will be put into operation before September this year.

The President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, thanking domestic entrepreneurs for creating such a modern educational institution and contributing to the improvement, instructed teachers and other college employees to effectively use the available opportunities.
