Today, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon delivered a television congratulatory address on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
The head of Tajik state Emomali Rahmon congratulated the war and labor veterans, as well as the whole honorable people of Tajikistan on the occasion of celebration of the Victory Day and wished them worthy life, strong health, happiness and serenity.
The President of Tajikistan appraised and highly appreciated "the contribution of courageous sons of our nation to the enhancement of feelings of patriotism, responsibility of youth toward protection of their Motherland". The Tajik leader also informed that the number of veterans and disabled soldiers of the Great Patriotic War in our country makes up 1441, all of whom are under constant care and tutelage of the state bodies and Government of the country.
President Emomali Rahmon highlighted that "we will always honor fond memories of our tens of thousands of Tajik soldiers, their heroism and patriotic deeds, which have been described in hundreds of books and romances, documentaries and memoirs, historical researches". The President of Tajikistan in his address particularly emphasized the crucial role of the Armed Forces of the country, military, defence and law enforcement structures in safeguarding the integrity of our homeland, ensuring security, stability, law and order, overall public tranquility.
