This evening in Navruzgoh complex of the capital solemn festivities were held on the occasion of the 22^nd anniversary of state independence of Tajikistan.

President Emomali Rahmon in his congratulatory address reiterated his felicitations in honor of this great holiday – Day of state independence of Tajikistan to all residents of the capital and the whole people of the country, and stressed: “This date for us – Tajiks is the day of coming true of thousand-year dreams of our ancestors and the results of efforts of our ancient and civilized people for achievement of sovereignty and statehood”.

It was also highlighted, “most importantly, independence for us is a clear evidence of sustainable statehood, long life of nation, symbol of national mentality, source of historical ideals and dreams, international prestige and accession of our sovereign country – Tajikistan to the civilized world community”.
