This morning working visit of President Emomali Rahmon in Sughd region continued in Asht district.
In Asht President Emomali Rahmon commissioned a new building of the central hospital of Shaidon township being the administrative center of Asht district.
In the courtyard of the new district hospital, following the compassionate and humanistic actions of President Emomali Rahmon, a collective circumcision rite of 20 boys from poor families was organized. President Emomali Rahmon congratulated each family on celebration of this joyful event and handed to each of them gifts, such as television sets and refrigerators.
President Emomali Rahmon cut the ribbon and officially opened new buildings of the central hospital of Asht. It turned out that the construction of these buildings began in 1983 and was suspended in the 1990s of the last century due to the well-known events. In October 2010, the construction of unfinished buildings continued on the instructions of the President of the country at the expense of national funds. To this day, their construction took more than 11 million somoni, 2 million and 200 thousand of which are spent on the purchase of modern medical equipment. The hospital has 150 beds, two three-storey and several two-storey buildings. The new hospital employs more than 300 healthcare professionals and support staff.
