Today, President Emomali Rahmon received the Head of Office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Central Asia Masaru Honma.

The current issues and prospects of cooperation have been discussed at the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting Masaru Honma introduced to Emomali Rahmon the new Permanent Representative of EBRD in Tajikistan Richard Jones.

During the talks it was in particular mentioned that during the years of cooperation between Tajikistan and this bank agreements have been signed at the total amount of 400 mln. USD. Currently 7 joint investment projects are being implemented and their total funding is more than 112 mln. USD.

  It was stressed that both sides can further lead fruitful cooperation in the sectors of energy, transport, road-building, agriculture and industrial processing of products of this sphere, water supply, support of private sector and others.
