Today, a new terminal of Dushanbe international airport was inaugurated with the participation of President Emomali Rahmon.

Commissioning of such modern infrastructure facility in the sphere of air transportation service is a valuable gift on the eve of 90^th anniversary of Tajik civil aviation.

It was in particular informed that the new terminal has been constructed and equipped on the basis of a contract between the Government of Tajikistan and Government of France and between OJSC “Dushanbe international airport” and French company “Vinci Construction Grand Projects – VINCI” during the 20 months and currently final works of assemblage of equipment and coordination of electronic working programs with world networks are under way.

The construction works and equipment of new terminal have been accomplished at the expense of 280 mln. TJS from which almost half of it has been covered by the airport itself and the remaining amount is state grant of France.

During the construction 200 people were involved in works among which 110 persons were from among local population.

As it was discovered, the building of new terminal of Dushanbe airport has two storey and total surface of 11 000 m2, and is able to serve up to 500 passengers per hour.
