Meeting with Henan province governor Xie Fuchzhan

In Beijing, Head of Tajik State Emomali Rahmon received the governor of Henan province of China Xie Fuchzhan.

The issues of cooperation of Tajikistan with this Chinese province have been discussed.

As it was noted, companies of this province have established a fruitful cooperation with Tajikistan, first of all in agriculture and are planning to realize noticeable works for industrial processing of agricultural products.

Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Spheres of Agriculture and Industry was signed, according to which the companies of this province will construct many industrial enterprises in Tajikistan at the expense of more than 800 mln. USD. At first, a flour plant, mineral fertilisers enterprise, creameries and factories for processing of crops seeds will be constructed. Then, the construction of enterprises for production of agricultural machinery, cattle food and cattle-breeding farms is also expected.  

It was expressed confidence that such cooperation will actively facilitate the ensuring of food security of Tajikistan that is one of the strategic goals of the government of the country.
