Today, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the member state of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), who arrived in Dushanbe to participate at the next summit.
The meeting focused on issues of implementation of the decisions of previous summits at the highest level, approval of new decisions to be taken at the upcoming summit of heads of state, as well as priorities of the chairmanship of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
According to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, "CSTO member states should have a clear, coordinated position and rapid response mechanisms in the joint struggle against such threats of the modern world, such as terrorism, extremism, organized transnational crime, including information and cyber-crime".
Particular attention was paid to strengthening of the protection of the state border between Tajikistan and Afghanistan, including implementation of the decision of the CSTO leaders on this issue, adopted in September 2013, as well as the fight against advocates of ideas of so-called "Islamic State of Iraq and Levant", to prevent the involvement of uninformed young people and teenagers.
